Starting My SEO Learning Journey: Month 0
Welcome to my SEO learning experiment.
Today, I'm starting something different.
I'm a copywriter who decided to learn SEO.
But instead of learning in private, I'm documenting everything publicly.
This blog is my accountability tool, my learning diary, and hopefully, your resource too.
Why I'm Doing This:
I've been writing content for a while now. Good content.
But there's a problem: if nobody finds it, what's the point?
That's where SEO comes in.
I decided to:
1. Learn from free, authoritative sources
2. Apply everything on this blog
3. Share the results (good and bad)
4. Build in public
What You Can Expect
Brutal Honesty
I'll share:
- What I study and from where
- What I try
- What works
- What fails
- Real metrics (traffic, rankings, all of it)
No fake screenshots. No inflated numbers. No BS.
Practical Content
I'm not interested in theory. I want results.
Every article will be:
- Actionable (you can apply it today)
- Based on real experiments
- Backed by data when possible
- Beginner-friendly (I'm a beginner too!)
Regular Updates
My plan:
- 1/2 articles per week (SEO guides/tutorials)
- 1 monthly progress update (metrics, learnings, failures)
What I'm NOT
Let me be clear:
I'm not an SEO expert with 10 years of experience
I'm not claiming to know everything
I'm not selling you a course (not now, at least)
I'm just a student documenting the journey.
If you want a guru, this isn't the place.
If you want to learn alongside someone real, welcome.
The Plan
My focus in the first 3 months:
Month 1: Foundations
- Understanding how search engines work
- Keyword research basics
- On-page SEO fundamentals
Month 2: Content
- Writing SEO-optimized articles
- Internal linking strategy
- Meta optimization
Month 3: Measurement
- Google Search Console deep dive
- Google Analytics essentials
- Tracking what matters
Current Stats
Let's establish the baseline.
As of today:
- Blog launched: 04/10/2025
- Articles published: 1 (this one)
- Organic traffic: 0 visits/month
- Keywords ranked: 0
- Domain age: Brand new
I'll update these monthly. No hiding. Full transparency.
